Little Chefs, an application that encourages healthy food habits amongst kids and their parents by allowing them to share recipes and videos of them cooking.

The challenge

Creating a platform for children to share their cooking recipes

The target audience using the app is split into kids and their parents, we had to strike a balance between the two in terms of the visual language.

Current Situation

With the visual language, we have taken a friendly turn on the design elements involving flexible shapes and bright colors to appeal to the target audience.

Making it appealing for kids

Focusing on the main content in the centre, we gave a colorful touch at the periphery. The action elements were made prominent to gain the user’s attention.

Form filling simplified for kids

We kept the form short and included illustrations and pictures to make it exciting for kids, giving them choice to customise their profile.

Single sign-on account

Kids belonging to the same family can have their profiles under one account, which the parents can then keep a track on.

Regular feed updates

The recipes posted by each account is showcased on the app with a provision to ‘like’ and ‘save’ a recipe. Also, a particular account holder can have followers and he/she can also follow other users of the app.

Sharing through videos

An easy three-step video sharing facility makes the application user-friendly. Adding title and keywords helps increase visibility of the post.
